RECOGNITION OF THE TYPES OF LANDSLIDES

摘要
邊坡穩定之問題涵蓋甚廣,如交通設施、海岸、礦區、社區、農地等均有涉及;而台灣山嶺多、海岸長,加以雨量充沛,地震、水災頻繁,經常坍方,造成人財極大之損失。因此,為了確保生命、財產之安全,常須對邊坡之安全性加以分析及評估。分析前之準備工作,包括收集資料(地形圖、地質圖、工程報告、遙測資料等)及研判,另外,並須至現地踏勘,以補資料收集之不足。
本文著重於現地之研判;辨認可能發生坍方之特徵、地點、或已坍方之型態,期能以最恰當之分析方法輔助設計,或適時適地防止或控制各類型之崩坍。
英文摘要
Field reconnaisance is very important in identifing the actual or potential landslides. In-situ characteristics provides information which cannot be obtained at the stage of data collection. These information from the field not only aid the analysis of the stability of slopes during the design stage, but also suggest the remedial methods taken against particular types of landslides at the right place at the right time.
This article introduces five basic types of landslides: falls, topples, slides, lateral spreads, and flows, according to the classification of slope movements. The field characteristics around the landslide area and the course of each types of landslides are also described in detail.
